Title Insurance Rate Service Association, Inc. (TIRSA) is licensed by the Superintendent of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) of the State of New York as the Rate Service Organization and statistical agent of the Department under Article 23 of the New York Insurance Law. Acting under the supervision of the Superintendent of (DFS), we receive, compile, and submit all statistical data for title insurance premiums, losses, and expenses. Under the direct supervision of the Superintendent, we develop, maintain, amend, and update the Title Insurance Rate Manual for New York, which is used by insurance companies and underwriters.
About Us
TIRSA is the rate service organization for title insurance in the State of New York. We develop the policies, forms, and rates for use by title insurance companies to provide clients with coverage approved by the New State Department of Financial Services. Established by the legislature in 1993, we are dedicated to keeping our members informed about any and all changes made to title insurance policies, forms, and rates.
